Walker Technology College's Student Executive Council on what makes learning easy or difficult

We hijacked a meeting of the Student Executive Council to get their views on what makes learning easy and what makes it difficult at Walker. Three factors were discussed the most.

We hijacked a meeting of the Student Executive Council to get their views on what makes learning easy and what makes it difficult at Walker. Three factors were discussed the most.

1. The teachers ability to make the lesson interesting and definitely not boring - and a dislike of unreasonable requests from teachers such as not being given enough time to copy work down.
2. The behaviour of other students.
3. The furniture.

We also discussed the future with the Executive Council. They described the growing importance of computers in all aspects of life. The key challenge for them was the pressure that they would be under to earn money - and they didn't see things becoming more affordable in five years time. This means that being able to get a job when they leave school is something that's really important to them.
