Key deliverables

On Friday, we met with the two key stakeholders for vocational training: Kath Davidson, head of Personalised Learning and Mike Collier, Deputy Head.



Not only was this a great opportunity to come together, but a chance for Mr. Davidson and Mr. Collier to explain and share their views and thinking on the future of vocational learning, and what the vocational learning block should offer.

Ms Davidson took us to some of the places offsite where students currently go to, including Newcastle College. This allowed us to get a much better understanding of the facilities and standards on offer.

Towards the end of the day, we reported back on what we had discovered so far, and together with Mike Collier, Steve Gater and Kath Davidson, decided on the key deliverables of the OurNewSchool project. We hope that Engine's involvement would lead to:

• a much richer Architect's brief regarding vocational learning and BSF at Walker Technology College
• a future vision for Walker's vocational learning block, outlining operational processes and service propositions
